About Rare Imports

Rare Imports was established in 2005 following the private importation of a number of JDM models for personal use by one of our founders. Having had difficulty with import companies, through a lack of communication, knowledge and over inflated prices, especially in Scotland Rare Imports was born.

Our aim quite simply is to offer our customers with only high quality Japanese import vehicles at competitive prices.

As Japanese car enthusiasts experienced in this industry for over 10 years we understand and respect our clients passion and expectations, we know this isn’t JUST a car but possibly your dream car. With our contacts and engineer based in Japan, along with access to private sales and member only auctions we are able to search for hundreds of cars per day. This in turn allows us to be very selective and decline those vehicles that do not meet our standards. As a rule we do not import cars less than Grade 3 or those with more than 80,000 miles registered

Offering value for money and competitive prices is extremely important to us however this in no way means we cut corners. Our customers satisfaction and ultimate safety is our main priority and as such all our cars are thoroughly mechanically prepared far beyond MOT standard and professionally details before sale. Our workshop and technicians are able to offer full dealers services from basic servicing to full complex engine build work and modifications
